Firebase (Google LLC)

• Share your voting choices publicly without your consent
• Use your data for targeted advertising
• Share your email with marketers

4. Data Retention

Active Accounts:

• We retain your account information for as long as your account is active
• Voting data and streak information are retained indefinitely to maintain leaderboard integrity

Deleted Accounts:

• When you delete your account, we permanently delete your email, username, votes, streak statistics, and profile information
• Deletion is typically completed within 30 days
• Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Access and Portability

You have the right to access your personal information, request a copy of your data, and export your voting history.

5.2 Correction

You have the right to update your username, change your email address, and correct inaccurate information.

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data, and withdraw consent for data processing.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Age Requirement:

• Obvious is intended for users aged 13 years and older
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13
• By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 13 years old

If You Are a Parent:
If you believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at support@obvious.app. We will delete the account and all associated data.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encrypted password storage
• Secure Firebase authentication
• Server-side validation for all operations

Your data is stored on Firebase servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries. By using Obvious, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through Google Firebase's compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
